Robert Espinosa served as Fire Chief for the City of Manhattan Beach, bringing decades of firefighting and emergency service leadership to the role. His career in public service began with the U.S. Army, where he served as a firefighter, before joining the El Segundo Fire Department in 1978.
Chief Espinosa spent the next several decades rising through the ranks of fire service leadership. He served with the Long Beach Fire Department, where he held the positions of Fire Captain, Battalion Chief, and Assistant Fire Chief, before being appointed Fire Chief of the City of Rialto in 2008. In 2011, he was appointed Fire Chief of Manhattan Beach, a role in which he oversaw the department's emergency response operations and worked to serve and protect the local community.
With more than 40 years of experience in the fire service, Chief Espinosa's career reflects a lifelong commitment to public safety and community service.
